My name is Regula and I come from beautiful Thurgau in Switzerland. My family includes my husband, three daughters, three dogs and three cats, who enrich my life and provide constant variety in everyday life.
My own sporting journey began at the age of four with gymnastics. I have tried a variety of different disciplines over the years, including kickboxing, yoga, Pilates, aerobics, dancing and traditional fitness activities such as gym workouts and jogging. But my passion lies particularly in gymnastics and general fitness and nutrition.
After my active gymnastics career, I initially turned my back on gymnastics. Until 2017, I was firmly convinced that I would never come into contact with this sport again. I hadn't yet mentally come to terms with my time as a top athlete and didn't want to put my children through the same strain. However, my youngest daughter insisted on doing gymnastics, so I couldn't resist. At first I held back, but in 2018 I could no longer resist and started training the little ones. However, it was and is important to me that the training focuses on posture, strength and flexibility in order to minimize the risk of injury in the short and long term. I also firmly believe in preventing long-term damage. Through targeted exercises, I have already been able to help some gymnasts to alleviate back pain. I also think it's important to work preventively and to stay on the ball even after illnesses so as not to spare the body.
I enjoy passing on my knowledge and helping others to achieve their personal goals, whether on a physical or mental level. Due to my own experiences, I am particularly keen to become active in this area and develop individual training plans for people with illnesses. Thanks to my many years of experience as an athlete and trainer, I know both sides too well and therefore know what is important. Especially when someone falls ill or suffers a stroke of fate, it is important to find a mental and physical balance. It is also important to me that the child itself feels the desire to do sport and not just the parents. This is the only way to achieve the goal without the child becoming frustrated or unhappy in the process.
Alatas Gymnastic is still in its infancy and focuses on teaching the basic school of gymnastics. Our goal is to help children get to know their bodies, strengthen them and learn how to use them.
